Embassy Review : |
my interview was scheduled for October 8th @7:30am. I arrive on time and waited for 30 mins then I was called to window 3 to process my documents. I had load of document but was only asked for my passport, birth certificate, medical records, passport size photo and my appointment letter. from my fiancée I was ask for her affidavit of support, job letter, 2014 tax transcript. I was then told to pay the K1 Visa fee of $265. us. and wait to be called. It took another hour before I was called. I was told to raise my right hand but I was so nervous I raised my left. I don't remember the guys name but he asked how long I knew and where did I meet my fiancée, does she have any kids and how old, what is her address in the usa and is she married or divorced. then he looked over my documents and told me to return to my country and mail my passport and letter back to the embassy using fedex or dhl and it will be returned to me within 10 days. I told him I do not need it to travel back to my country , I was then told to go to dhl in Barbados and send it to them. they do not accept passport for same day processing. what was most import in the final processing was my fiancée attended the interview with me. I remember him smiling when he saw that she was there. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
