Embassy Review : Hi, everyone!
Had my interview on the 20 of July. I had my interview scheduled for 9:45 and was at the consulate 30 minutes before my interview. I left the building almost at 12 am.

I was a little bit scared before my interview, but it went really well.

When i came to the building there already was a line. But it moved pretty quickly. Can't stress that enough: read the instructions carefully and DO NOT bring perfume, headphones or other restricted items. Despite all the warnings, there were a lot of people who had to hide their stuff in the alley behind the embassy.

When u come in the building and the security guard is checking your bag u have to tell him that you are here for K1 visa - he will cross you out from his list. Then you have to wait in the line to get through the gate (helpful tip: don't wear metal belts). When u go inside u have to stand in line again to get to a window where they will tell you where to go. Later some of the fiances told me that there was a person in hall that actually asks if there are any brides to help them move quicker in a line. I didn't find him and just waited in the line. The man in a window looked at my documents and gave me a card for the person in a window 22. When i got to the second floor there already was a line and it didn't matter that my interview was scheduled for 9:45. But i guess that is only because i wasn't scheduled for 8 am. Try to come sooner if you are one of the first people there. U have to give the plastic card (A4 format) to the woman in a window 22. She will ask you for your documents, scan your fingerprints and give you a number. After that you just have to wait. It took me a looooong time to get to the office where i had an interview (It is on the same floor).

The interview itself didn't take a lot of time. A very pleasant woman only asked me a couple easy questions and informed me of my rights so that i would know where to ask for help in case i needed one. She was extremely nice. Smiled a lot and even gave me back pictures that my fiancé submitted with our petition. After i told her how and where me and my fiancé met, showed her the pictures and explained where do we plan to live she smiled and told me that i got the visa.

Very very nice woman. I am very grateful that she made the whole experience painless and as quick as possible.

Don't worry. I know how scary it might be, but the officers are really nice (Just try to make sure u have all the documents ready. Even if they don't ask you to submit them you still have to be ready!)
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
