Embassy Review : |
I had my interview 5th of June, My appointment was scheduled at 1pm. I got to the embassy really early, around 11am and was told that I was to early and to return back at 12:30. I didn't leave far from the embassy and went to get something to eat at the Starbucks near by.
I returned back around 12:15, again I'll recommend to all of you to get there as early as you can as it is first comes first serve. Queue started around 12:20 and I was third in the queue.
The lady checked appointment letter,DS160 and passport before entering security, I passed security just like the airport. You'll then receive a ticket stuck to your appointment letter it, it generally starts with I as it is an immigrant.
As I was third in the queue everything went really fast, I didn't wait more than 4 min before I get called up to the first window where the british man checks your documents (Birth certificate, passport, ds160, affidavit, fingerprints etc). I then took a seat waited for my interview which it took another 10min before I met a lovely american lady. She made me take an Oath and then asked me literally 3 questions, how I met my fiancé, how long we've been together and if I've met his family. It was more of a chitchat conversation rather than a formal interview.
She then said you're approved, I thanked her and walked out of the embassy and couldn't believe what just happened. I smiled and nearly had tears of joy.
Good luck everybody and just remember as long as you have all your documents in order and your relationship is genuine you have nothing to fear and please turn up early as it is first comes first serve or else you'd be waiting ages for your interview. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
