I didn't go to the interview with my fiance since I am currently living in the US (which is why we're doing this in the first place!), but I would like to say that since many of the instructions can be vague and confusing, I have used the chat option under the contacts section of the embassy website (http://www.ustraveldocs.com/gt_es/gt-main-contactus.asp). They have been very helpful in guiding us to click the right buttons and in correctly updating us on the status when the automated thing was behind. I definitely recommend using the chat option for any questions you may have...they are very prompt and are quickly able to answer your questions! javascript:emoticon('')
As for the interview, everything seemed to go as others have said...get there early, have all of your paperwork organized with copies, and don't forget to print out all of the documents that your fiance sent you (like all of my pay stubs, not just two)!! My fiance didn't have everything printed out before going, so he went to a nearby printer that charged him Q70/page javascript:emoticon('') to print!!! Don't make the mistake of getting robbed by these guys...print your documents out well beforehand!
Overall, they are not there to punish you or keep you apart, they are there to make sure that you are providing all of the evidence of having a real relationship so that people who are not real don't get through. Follow the rules, get all of the documentation, and you won't have a problem!
Good luck!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
