Local US CIS Office Review: Oakland Park FL

Event Description
Review Date : June 25, 2018
Embassy Review : I had my aos interview on May 31st. The interview was at 9.10 and my husband and I arrived at 8.35. Security at the entrance and uscis workers were very nice, kind and helpful. We waited in a common area with other people and our interview officer called us at 9.18. We brought 3 binders full of documents required in the interview letter(original and copies), plus all original letters from uscis and a photo album (pictures of my and my husband together, wedding pictures, pictures with friends and family). The officer made us swear the oath then asked for our ids, my EAD, my passport and the interview letter. He was very nice, friendly and kind. He noticed I was nervous and tried to make me feel comfortable talking about Italy (my country). He asked my husband why he never met my parents and if we are planning to visit my family in Italy. He asked me questions on I-485 ( do you have a criminal record? Do you want commit terrorist acts etc..). He asked my husband our current address (we moved when the application was pending); my husband was nervous and he got confused a bit about the zip code. So I said the correct zip code. We told the officer my husband changed job and we gave him a new completed I-864 with attached documents (w2, irs tax transcripts, employer letter, last 3 months paystubs). The officer asked for my I-693 medical form in a sealed envelope because I didn't submit it with the original application. He, also, asked if we wanted gave him additional evidence of our life together. So we gave him copies of Irs transcripts of tax returns 2016 and 2017, copies of our joint bank account statements (11 months), a copy of our apartment lease and copies of our joint dental insurance cards. We had more evidences but he said those documents were enough. He explained us about conditional residence card and his to lift the conditions. I asked him if he would like have a look at our photo album. He did and asked some questions about our relationship. Like how we met, how we kept in touch, why I was the one travel to US to visit my husband and so why he never went to visit me in Italy and in Ireland (I lived in Ireland for a year). He asked us where some pictures were taken and he asked me if I liked Key West (we took a few pictures from our honeymoon trip to Key West). He didn't take pictures. Said he had enough (we sent lots of pics when we filed the aos). He took copies of our ids (even if mine was expired) then he handled us a paper sheet explaining our case is under review because he needed time to check the medical form and other documents we gave him. But he said our case looks fine and we have not reasons to worry about. We thanked him and said goodbyes. 15 days later I received an email said my green card was in production so I got approved! I received the residence card thru priority mail 8 days later. ☺🤗😀☺☺☺😊😊😊🤗🤗☺☺☺☺
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
