Comments : Immigration pretty fast, although they asked my fiance a lot of questions. They were able to go through the new immigrant line which was a much smaller line. Then she was interviewed by the immigration official (like at the embassy), he asked her many of the same questions she was asked at the embassy in Thailand. It took about 10 to 15 minutes, they also took her photo and fingerprints, although they did not do the same for her child.

Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: General Review
Event Description
Review Date : December 18, 2014
Embassy Review : My fiancé arrived at 5:30am and there was already a queue of about 10 people. Once inside she had an initial interview, a woman went through her packet and checked to make sure all documents where there. At this point she was made aware that she was missing one document (1040). She then waited a little while longer to be interviewed by the consulate. The consulate was very polite and asked her many question's.
1. Where did we meet?
2. When did your fiance come to visit?
3. Has he met your child?
4. When do you plan on getting married?
5. How do you communicate after he left?
6. What does your fiance study at university?
She said that she asked her a lot [I will update the list as she remembers them] of questions. My fiance felt the interview went well but she received a 221g because of the missing 1040 form. The consulate handed her the form and said send in this form and I will review your case again.
She had a very good experience at the embassy, even with the 221g.
The best advice she would give is to make sure you have every document on their list (especially the house registration card that isn't on the list) before going to your appointment.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
