Consulate Review: Ukraine Review Topic: K1 Visa Event Description Review Date : December 9, 2014 Embassy Review : The consulate called by phone to inform me that they had received the visa petition. Setting up an appointment was a (mostly) painless process which I completed online. The experience at the actual appointment was also good. Although I spent a few hours waiting inside the consulate, admission to the building was timely. The people working in the waiting area were polite locals. I was asked to submit my documents, and most of my time waiting was waiting for a review of my documents. The person who gave final approval was an American who spoke Russian well, but after reviewing the documents he didn't have any follow-up questions, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was a positive experience that went better than expected. Rating : Good
