Embassy Review : First, I'd like to sincerely thank my friends on this forum who helped us complete the visa journey successfully. This forum was a tremendous help and following the"NVC Visa Process" guidance posted here eliminated lots of confusion and concerns. Here is the summary of my wife's interview day:

Her interview was scheduled for 7:00 am on Feb 23rd at the US Embassy in Islamabad. She arrived at the shuttle station at around 5:00am in the morning. There were already people standing in line waiting for the station's gate to open. The gates didn't open until 6 and after the gates were opened, the new lines were formed inside the gate to get the tickets for the shuttle to the Embassy. So, my wife realized that there was no use getting there before 6am since the doors don't open before that and the lines are formed all over again. Only the required documents were allowed, so she had a big plastic bag that she put all the folders and picture albums with her to take to the embassy. She had to submit her mobile at the counter at the shuttle station. The first shuttle left at 6:50 am and was at the embassy at 7am.
At the embassy, she stood in the yellow line which was for "immigration Only". They gave her the token and info on the courier service that would mail the passport and asked her for the primary and an alternate number for the courier to call when passport is ready for pick up. Then, she had to wait for her number to be called for fingerprints and passport pics. When she handed them the passport pix, she was told that her passport pic has been altered by "photo shop" and it is unacceptable, so she was told that of she could get a new pic within two hours, she can proceed with the interview. She was able to go back and get new passport pix taken and brought them back within 30 min. She waited again in the waiting room and then was called for submitting her medical report and passport. They asked her date of birth. Then she was sent back to wait for 20 min and then was asked if she needed a translator or she is ok to have her interview in english. she chose english. The immigration officer was amaericand. He asked her the following questions:
1) Her Date of Birth
2) Date of wedding
3) What does your husband do?
4) what company does he work for?
5) Was he married before? (answer was yes)
6) how many kids from previous marriage?
7) kid's age
8) do you live with your in-laws?
9) did your husband visit after marriage? (I did visit once)
10) how did you two get married? (she told him that my aunt was her mom's friend and that's how we got introduced)
11) are you guys relatives? (No)
12) did you travel anywhere else?
13) who does his daughter live with?
14) what does his daughter scheule look like i.e. how many day with him and how many days with his ex.
15) please show me the pix? (she took the professional album and a small album that had 15 pix of our wedding, 20 pix of us on our trip we took together with the family and 20 some pix of our selfies ..due to the passport pix being rejected, she had to leave the professional album in the interview room since it was too heavy but had the small album with her and passed that album through the window which he looked at our selfies mostly ).

After looking at the pix, he said, "Congratulations, everything is fine and you will get the visa within a week in KHI". She was out of the embassy back on the shuttle by 10:30ish. The Visa website showed "Administrative Processing" for a day and in 36 hours, it showed that the visa is issued. The 3rd day (Feb 26th, she got the call in the afternoon from the courier service that her passport is ready for pick up so bring the NIC and the passport number which she provided to pick up the passport.

Hopefully, this helps for our friends who are currently going through the interview process. If anyone has any questions that I am be able to provide any assistance with, fell free to email me. Good luck!!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
