Consulate Review: Frankfurt, Germany
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 3, 2015
Embassy Review : I make it short. All in all described as in previous posts. Everyone was very friendly, the vice consul conducting my interview even put a sticky note on my documents saying "applicant wants to leave next Friday, send passport/visa back ASAP". Questions: "Where and how did you and XY meet?" and "How did your relationship develop over the years". Thats all. Said all documents are complete, visa is approved.
The only TIP I have: schedule your interview time as early as possible, best pick the first time in the morning. I had mine scheduled for 10am, and had to wait almost 3 hours (!!!) in the embassy because there were so many people before me and for the K1's they only had 3 case workers and one consul working through the applicants one by one.
Rating : Good

POE Review: Boston
Event Description
Entry Date : 2015-06-27
Embassy Review : Landed in Boston from Frankfurt, Germany at 2:30pm. Handed the immigration officer the sealed package together with my passport and customs for and said "Im here on a K1 visa". He looked through the package, asked me how much money I was carrying in cash and if I had any foods/drinks with me. No questions regarding the visa/package. Took my fingerprints/photo. Stamped passport, said you have until xx.September to get married. I said Thank you and off I went. Whole POE took not longer than 5min. AWESOME!
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
