We filed for my husband's CR1 visa starting with the I-130 using Direct Consular filing on 22-May-14. Our interview was on 1-August-14 and we received the visa back from the courier on 7-August-14. We have only positive things to say about the whole experience. We used this site to gather what we could in advance, were ready for each "next step" to keep the process moving along, etc.
On the day of the interview, I was listed on the readiness form to accompany my husband but was not on the official list. I was denied entry. They told my husband when he was inside that that was a mistake. He decided to complete the process on his own instead of waiting for me. He was there a total of only 75 minutes - it was very quick and friendly. They asked about how often we saw each other while dating, how we met, basic questions that any couple will know the answers to.
If you have all of your documents in order - the process in London is a breeze! It is stressful gathering everything, anticipating, etc. but we had nothing but a positive experience. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
