Embassy Review : |
My hubby has his interview on yesterday at the embassy in Kingston, Jamaica. He said it was not difficult at all. They asked him 3 questions: 1. What does your fiancee do for a living? 2. How and where did you all meet? 3. Does she have any children?. I sent in the I129 petition with lots of information and evidence of our relationship such as photos, boarding passes, airline itineraries, copy of passport pages, western union receipts, letters we sent to one another, and digicel receipts of phone communication. So we had already proven beyond a reasonable doubt that we had met within the past two years and that we were in a bonafide relationship. Therefore, I believe that's why the interview was not difficult and the consulate officer didnt give my hubby a hard time! My hubby was ready to provide addtional evidence of our relationship w more recent pics, receipts, etc but the officer only asked for the DS160 and the Affadavit of Support. He looked over those forms, collected his passport, and told him that he would receive his visa within two weeks!! Yippee!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
