I had my interview on 5/13 in Montreal. This morning, 5/15, my status changed to Issued - what a wonderful feeling.
Despite a 10am stated appointment time, my USC and I arrived at 6:30 am; there were already a few people in line.
By the time security unlocked the doors at 7:30, there had to be 20-25 of us outside.
I was given a laminated number outside (#2). She looked only at my letter and passport. ***anyone with a "knapsack", "satchel", "man bag", etc got TURNED AWAY - no exceptions.
We went through security and then downstairs. Sat by the elevator. At 8am they let the first batch of us go up. Almost immediately after the doors opened I was paged first ("#2 go to window #4"). Note that once upstairs I didn't have to claim a number as I'd been given one downstairs. Handed over all my originals one by one, including 1040 tax docs from my USC. Had a seat and then was paged to window #8 (I think). He basically went through all the documents, confirmed details (first marriage, intended address, etc). I was worried It was going to cause concern that we intended to move to a new U.S. address; it wasn't. He said we were provisionally approved pending nothing coming up on my fingerprints and sent us away with the welcome letter.
If I could give advice it would be to calm down - I twisted myself nearly into cramps over this, but it really is an administrative checkpoint. Good luck to everyone out there!

I POE'd at Niagara Falls (Rainbow Bridge) on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend (oops! LOL).
I rented a car in Toronto and drove myself with just my paperwork.
I told the guy in the hut what I was doing. He took the plate # and my passport; gave me a little slip and said to park and go into the office. No questions at all about having a rental.
Went into the office and waited for probably an hour? 45 mins? I got the impression that every family who crosses there who doesn't have a Cdn passport has to do this secondary step.
An officer called my name; I went in, she saw me for a few minutes and then got me to sit while she processed everything. After about 20-30 mins she called me back up to do manual/ink fingerprints. Her supervisor actually made her re-do them because they weren't perfect, LOL.
then basically she gave me my passport back and congratulated me on my marriage!
I left and went straight to the SSA office; at first he didn't want to accept my visa and stamp as authorization but he asked a supervisor and then it was fine. He then couldn't get the system to approve my request because of some glitch (to do with my name?) so he told me I have to come back in a week and see if they've gotten my number yet.
All painless despite a not ideal SSA experience afterwards.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
