Embassy Review : |
I accompanied my husband who was the beneficiary. We went through the regular customs line for non-US citizens (even though I am a US citizen). The officer was very friendly, entered a few things on the computer, then took my husbands packet and gave him a number. After picking up our bags at baggage claim, we gave the number to one of the officers who checks everything before you enter the regular part of the airport. He told us to go into the secondary screening area.
In the secondary area, we passed by the officer who we could see had my husband's packet. He directed us into a waiting room where we waited for about 20 minutes. There was only one other person waiting (she came after us).
The officer then came and got us, gave my husband's passport back with the stamp, explained it was valid for a year, and was extremely nice when I had a few questions about social security number, etc.
All in all, a really easy process! So glad we went through Charlotte. Not as busy as other customs and everyone was extremely friendly! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
