Consulate Review: Tokyo, Japan Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Event Description Review Date : March 16, 2015 Embassy Review : I just finished my interview about an hour ago. And I was approved!!! Here's my experience. Arrived the embassy at 7:50 am for my 8:30 am interview time. There are 3 people in line in front of me. Security thing went well without any problem. Documents that I brought: 1) Passport 2) 2 Passport sized photos (which I had to retake again at the embassy) 3) Interview Letter 4) Medical Results 5) Letter pack plus with japanese address on 6) Copies of entire packages that I sent to USCIS and NVC( I-130 and stuff) Documents that they needed: 1) Passport 2) 2 Passport sized photos 3) Medical Results 4) Letter pack plus When I submitted my documents, I told the lady that I need to update my U.S. mailing address. They first gave me a piece of paper to fill in both japanese and american addresses. So I told her that this address that I wrote here is where I want my GC to be sent. She accepted without any additional documents which I relieved very much. Anyway, after that I was told to wait. She called me again because my mother's maiden name that was written on the G325A is same as her current last name and she thought that I made a mistake. But it was correct and I told her that my father married to my mother and his last name was changed. I know this might sound weird to some people but there are people like my parents in Japan. Then she asked my father's last name before he got married and that was all. Documents were all good. I got my finger print scanned. Interview questions : How long have I been married? How did I meet my husband? How long after did I start dating with my husband after? Where did we meet? Where did we get married? Did we graduate college at the same time? What did I do after graduating college? What were we doing when we both came to live in Japan? Were you living with your parents? Where is your spouse now? What does he do now? Where does he work? That's all. It was ok. The CO was very nice. I was nervous that whole time but it went well. If you have any questions, message me. I'm willing to help you. Rating : Very Good
