Actually entered at Port Huron, Michigan - no problem at Port Huron, but I had checked the week before at Algonac and was told yes, we could cross on an I-129f there so arrived there only to be met by a different immigration officer who refused to process me. Had to add another 4 hours travel time driving with 6 cats and belongings to Port Huron. Port Huron asked why Algonac didn't process and said they could have if they had wanted to! Actual processing took 30 minutes - didn't look at any documents related to belongings or pets - quick and polite. If I had known Algonac wouldn't process, we could have saved substantial travel time and gone through Detroit, although border wait times were currently ranging from 1 to 20 hours with little warning due to transport truck traffic back ups. |

This was the easiest part of the whole immigration process! And the fastest:-). Received my citizenship with 189 other new citizens from 80 different countries. Once I get my passport, my Visa Journey is over. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
