My case status at USCIS.gov never changed to sent to NVC. So I ended up calling them on 7/31 and they gave me my case number. So Date Received at NVC is wrong but pretty close. I found the DHL tracking information from 8/1 so I know that's right anyway.
If your embassy switches to UStraveldocs.com during your K-1 process be prepared for there not to be a K-1 option for the IV Address Registration. Before leaving the embassy, ask them how you are to register to get your passport back if it's not there. |

Biometrics appt was for 11 am... we got there at 10:20 and were back in the car at 10:45. And the office is right off one of the light rail lines. |

We were slow updating this and I just used a really close date as I'm not 100% sure of the exact date. |

Interview was scheduled for 7 am and JR got in line at 6:30 am. He said that his interview actually started at 8 am and they made him swear to tell the truth. JR had been arrested off a tap tap in a case of mistaken identity so we submitted a statement from the arresting officer. I was really concerned about that causing a problem. They did have a discussion about it. But JR said that the CO basically asked him to explain what happened and then the CO said it wasn't that complicated. Other questions that were asked were "How did we meet?" "How many trips has your fiancee been on?" "What do you like most about your fiancee?" "When were the pictures taken?" and we had a picture of us holding two puppies and the CO asked about whether or not JR kept them.
He got fingerprinted at the end of it all and received a form that he has to fill out online before he can get his passport back. I'm not sure if that's off UStraveldocs.com or what. But overall, JR says that it was smooth and painless. javascript:emoticon('')
And I did not attend the interview but that didn't seem to be an issue. We did submit 5 photos with the I-129F packet, 10 with packet 3, and JR took some additional pictures with him. We submitted emails, letters, and whatsapp excerpts but no call logs. And I did make 3 trips to Haiti to visit and stayed with his family on two of them. My mom also wrote him a couple notes that we submitted as well. |

Embassy Review : |
My fiancé flew from Port Au Prince to Miami on a Sunday morning. This was his first time flying. He asked a couple people for help locating customs and everyone was friendly. When he reached customs, he was taken to another room where he waited a short time (I got a call from him one hour after he arrived and he'd already finished customs). He thinks it only took 20-30 minutes to get through customs as there were a lot of officers and a lot of lines. They asked him how much money he brought, where he was going, and they looked through his packet. They reminded him that he had 90 days to get married and warned him of deportation. They also took his picture. He didn't have any issues claiming or rechecking his luggage or finding his next gate. However he was quite bored while waiting because he had an eight hour layover. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
