Unless you're absolutely confident of the address in Taiwan, I would steer clear of the delivery service. They ended up making my fiance go to the office to pick up the visa and it's way out on the Brown line going towards the zoo. In the end it didn't save us any time and I would have felt far more secure having the AIT hold the visa instead of some delivery service. I will say that the delivery service did at least keep the visa secure and there was no problem getting it from the office. |

We ended up filing later than we wanted so for now we are "out of status" since the I-94 expired before we could file the AOS.
We got the NOA electronic notice on 10/22/15 and received the hard copies in the mail on 10/27/15.
We got the Biometrics appointment letter on 11/2/15 and it's scheduled for 11/10/15 at 9am.
Biometrics took some time due to needing to go home to get our marriage license since we were also changing her name (passport did not match the new name) but the center allowed us to come back about an hour later and got us processed.
Do not know what the RFE was for yet, still waiting for the letter as of 11/13/15.
The RFE was due to my using an outdated I-864 form, refiled and started the clock over...lost only ~30 days due to my mistake.
We were approved with no hitches other than the RFE for the outdated form and no interview, woohoo. |

Process was pretty easy. My fiance arrived early, was told to wait till the appointment time. They reviewed the documents, didn't even take my W-2's or even look at the updated proof of ongoing relationship. The interviewer had her swear on everything and didn't even ask her a single question, just told her approved!!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
