Comments : I deliberately delayed taking the medical because I don't want to enter the US before March 2015. Filing through London DCF is very fast and takes much less than the advertised 10 months if all goes to plan.

Comments : Didn't realize that as a spouse of a US citizen I could have started application process 90 days ahead of the 3 year anniversary of my green card being issued.
UCSIS Biometrics office in Oakland was incredibly efficient - wish the rest of the whole process were so. Estimated date of March 2019 for completion!

Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 27, 2014
Embassy Review : Very fast and efficient. One guy was friendly, the other a little brusque. They didn't seem interested in all the evidence we had compiled showing that my wife intends to re-establish her US domicile (after 20 years in UK). The only glitch was when they informed me that the visa would only be valid for 6 months from the medical date, not the interview date. This is stated somewhere on the consulate web page but we had missed it. Had to do a quick recalculation of whether I could get clear of my UK commitments in time. But no problem. Emerged at 9.15 am very happy!
Rating : Very Good

POE Review: San Francisco
Event Description
Entry Date : 2015-03-15
Embassy Review : Had to wait in line behind wheelchairs as there was no-one at the new immigrants desk. Then was directed to secondary desk for finger printing. Took about 1h 30 altogether. But staff were polite and no hassles.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
