Ended up having the interview even though I still did not have the Criminal History. I am to post that to them with my passport and the 3kg envelope and then they will post back my visa and documents. |

Embassy Review : |
Got there on the tenth floor at 7.30 am, the 3rd in the door, but the cue sure filled out pretty quick. I explained I had faxed, emailed, written, rung to try to let them know I didn't have the criminal history yet and need to cancel interview. I did get a return email from them the next day to say they note I have already had my interview and sorry they did not return my email. Am I glad I had got the receipt etc cause they let me have the interview anyway. Silly me had no snacks or anything with me. There are signs everywhere about the lack of toilets up on the 59th floor where the actual consulate is so I thought I better go, not thinking I'd have to get in that cue again. They take you up the lifts about six at a time and then more security. Take a ticket and wait. I had all the documents in order in a A4 size plastic box, so looked very organised. The file folder I made up with further documents and new evidence I did not even open. I was so proud of that folder too and wanted to show off my mushy letters from Andrew and his son. Oh well. So I did have to wait longer than most I think because of my dodgy bladder. They call out your number again and you then wait to be interviewed at another counter. They were all very nice but from what I overheard with other people, you don't muck around with them. "don't get upset with me sir" or your out. They asked me about the arrest I ticked and both the first lady and the interviewer said no worries. I was worried about being on the disability pension these last two years but they didn't ask me anything about that, just what I normally do for work and if I planned to work. I am a very healthly looking person though. So after nearly five hours, relief just send us the police documents and we will send you back your passport with visa. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
