Embassy Review : |
As told to me by my husband. His interview was on 19Aug2015: He went through the usual check-in process and was finally called to a window. The consulate officer(CO)asked several questions like;
How did you meet your spouse?
How did you propose?
Where does your spouse work? What does she do? How long has she been at that job?
Does she own her own home?
How do you communicate?
Do you know her family?
Who were you dating before her? When did you break up with your previous girlfriend? How long after did you meet your spouse?
Does you spouse get along with your children?
The CO requested to see our album, asked about the people in the photos, was very interested in the pics of me and my step kids. The CO stated we "look like a real family". Told my husband he can come back next Wed for the Visa.
Additionally: So my husband was told to return the following Wednesday after his interview to pick up his visa. He went to consulate at the scheduled time and was told his visa was not ready, that a signature was needed from Washington. He was told to return home and they would call when visa was ready. Words cannot express how disappointed we were! Anyway, we waited another week before the embassy called and told him to return for the visa. Needless to say, I had originally rated the process a 4 but now I am changing to a 3.

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
