For Belarus, the entire procedure occurs online once the consulate in Warsaw, Poland receives your documents. You merely need to go online, fill out all the information and pay your fee with USTravelDocs. This is why we had an interview before Packet 3 was received. |

Everyone was very friendly. Attended with my Belarusian beneficiary which I think helped her and them -- they seemed very pleased to see I had come along to support her.
We were only asked for the new forms (DS-160, I-134 with supporting docs, 2 passport photos, and certified translations of birth certificate and police reports).
Questions asked during interview (mostly felt like very relaxed small talk):
When and how we met.
When and where did we meet after that.
Had she ever been to the US.
Had I met her parents.
If I liked beef tongue (jokingly asked as a follow up question to the fact her parents had researched and made me Thanksgiving dinner during one visit).
When we were planning to get married.
What she was planning to do in the US (attend school, work, etc).

Embassy Review : |
Just wanted to provide an update to the process at JFK as it was super quick and painless. I asked a CBP officer what to do upon entering the CBP area and he took her immediately to the room off to the side for processing. I went through the USC kiosk line and was then allowed to join her in the waiting room. They reviewed her paperwork, stamped her passport, we retrieved our luggage, and grabbed a cab in well under 30 min of landing. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
