Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 12, 2014
Embassy Review : My wife had interview at Mumbai consulate on June 12 @ 7:30. She got in there at 7:15. Did the documents verification.
Indian officer asked her following:
1. Who is calling you?
2. Which state he lives in?

She was given back the all the original docs from NVC, domestic violence phamplet and gave her token and told her to wait for your number to be flash. Around 8:55 am American CO called her to the window. It was all round 5 min or less of interview. She asked her follwoing:

1. Who is the sponser for you?
2. Which states he lives in?
3. What does he do?
4. When you guys were married?
5. Did you read the paper we gave? Did you understand it?

Finally, the magic words came out. "Congratulations, you are Approved".
Over all the process was straigh forward, and it was smooth experience.

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
