Embassy Review : |
Our appointment was scheduled for 9:00 am. We arrived at the Embassy at 8:30 am. We ere greeted by a female officer who asked for the interview confirmation letter. Then we waited to be searched and checked in. My fiance and I had a bit of a hard time as they kept telling me that I could not come in with him. As all the other reviews have stated, they were allowed to come with their fiance's. I became a bit pushy and they let me in after a 10 minute complaint. When we got there we were motioned to a window on the left.
We rang a small button and an attendant came out. He asked for the interview letter and DS160 confirmation and asked us to sit down. Then the attendant called for us again. He asked that we go pay at the cashiers at the next window. We paid $265 US and brought the receipt back. My fiance was asked to verify his date of birth, and to give a copy of his birth certificate. (we did not have a copy, which irritated the attendant. He left and made a copy) My fiance, King was then asked to do fingerprints on a scanner. Then we were asked to sit again.
About 5 minutes later, another attendant called us and My fiance was asked two questions: Where did you meet? and when did you meet? The attendant and my fiance then conversed. ( I didn't want to crowd, so I cannot be sure what they discussed. Will update post later) He then informed us that the visa had been approved and slid a green paper asking that we mail the passport and form back to the embassy.
All in all, it was a good experience. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
