Consulate Review: Dominican Republic
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : November 20, 2014
Embassy Review : Petitioner did not attend due to medical reasons. I sent medical letter and documentation from doctor verifying reason why I could not attend. I included in the packet that I sent my fiancé the following documents:
A. My letter of Non'-attendance with documentation
B. New letter of intent to marry
C. Form I-134 with supporting income docs I.e. W-2s, 3 years of tax returns, and supporting documentation for non-taxable income.
D. Airline boarding passes, hotel receipts, from my last visit.
E. Copy of my passport and my birth certificate
F. Photos of both of my trips
G. Emails, phone calls, and chats from the time of the NOA2 to present.
Questions asked to my fiancé.
1. How did we meet?
2. How often we talk,.
3. Where does his family live and if mother and father are still married.
4. Does he have family in US.
5. Has he ever visited US.
6. Has he ever been in trouble with the police.
7. How did I learn to speak Spanish.
8. Who was my ex husband, how long were we married, and why did we divorce.

The CO retained the I-134 Pacjet with supporting documents and the Letter explaining why I could not attend with supporting documents.

She said congratulations, pay DOMEX. That's about it.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
