Event Description
Review Date : July 25, 2014
Embassy Review : Well...Gina is approved. But, got a 221 due to the delay in the police clearance from Hong Kong. Just found out that it was sent on 7/9 and it was sent by registered mail! What???? Are you kidding? Knowing how messed up the mail system is the PI you'd think that Hong Kong would send the info by packet or some other service...certainly not through the mail - especially in the PI!!! It could take months for the mail to be delivered there!! So, we just wait. Somewhat anti-climactic! Hard to make plans while waiting on others to do their job.

Gina was asked very few questions...when did you meet, when did you get married...very basic stuff. They asked for the usual docs that will be included in the envelope that she'll bring with her to the US...BC, CENOMAR, Marriage Cert, etc.

Anyway...soon, she'll be on a plane and we'll be together, at last!

It's quite a process, to be sure. And it ain't over, yet!!!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
