This is interesting. It has been a journey. I came back here to post. Next Friday the 17th my daughter who arrived on labor day in 2014 aged 7 will take the oath just to pick the certificate of Naturalization after filing the N-600 my sons N-600 was also approved and his oath notice is coming in the mail. My wife already naturalized. All three of them have US passports. I had to complete the N-600 for the children before they turned 18.
The Child Citizenship Act of 2000 allows foreign-born, biological, and adopted children of U.S. citizens to acquire U.S. citizenship if they satisfy certain requirements before age 18. The Act applies to children who did not acquire U.S. citizenship at birth.
I have their timelines too but in an excel spreadsheet. It has been a journey.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
