Embassy Review : First of all - no reason to be afraid or nervous!

I had my interview at 7:30 in the morning and arrived at the embassy at 07:15. I had to wait in the line for a couple of minutes to go to the window where I had to present my invitation letter and passport (also got my waiting number there). Then: Security check (Don't have a cd with you! They were so nice to keep it so I could retrieve it later, but you never know). The lady at the reception was very kind, gave me an information sheet and told me to go directly to counter 22.

Counter 22: I handed over my passport, the officer (very nice) took my fingerprints, checked if the payment (DS160) was made and told me to take a seat until my number appears on the screen. Said, done.

After just a couple of minutes my number appeared and I went to counter 20, where another officer (also very nice) explained the whole process (what to expect of the interview, what the letter from the embassy would look like). I was told to take a seat again and wait for my 'actual' interview.

A few minutes later I was called to counter 19. A, also, very nice officer asked me to reconfirm my fingerprints and to take an oath that everything I stated was the truth.

The questions: How and when did you meet him? Where are you intending to live? When did you last see your fiancé in person? Did he come over here or did you visit him? Did you meet his family? What is his profession? (Answer: xxx sales) Which brands does he sell in particular?

So *very* easy! He then told me everything looked fine. HOWEVER: I took my medical just one day prior and the results were not there yet. Because of that he had to hand me a paper, stating my visa was REFUSED under section 221g, reason: medical results missing and that they could only process it once these arrived . So.... For peace of mind I'd reccomend to take the medical earlier. Nontheless he wished me good luck and all the best in America

Interview date: 29 April, visa issued: 02 Mai. Also: your status on ceac will change from immigrant visa 'ready' to 'nonimmigrant visa' 'adminstrative processing' - the case creation date is also changing. On the same day it changed to 'issued'.

I was prepared to have the interview in English - however, the officers talked German without asking me what I would prefer

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
