Consulate Review: New Delhi, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : December 9, 2014
Embassy Review : My wife reached the Consulate 30 min before interview scheduled time.
First step they asked for Interview letter , DS-260 Confirmation Page (Stamped at the time of finger printing) Medical Report and original PCC . She was returned the originals submitted to NVC and was asked to wait for her main interview. She was given Domestic Violence Pamphlet to read .
Main Interviewer asked her the following questions :
What is Petitioner's name
Job Profile of your husband in US (Which company he works for)
Where and when did you get married
How did you meet him
About Petitioners immediate family
how did you keep in touch with your husband
Saw the wedding albums and asked to recognize people in the album
What she is doing in India ?(work related)
Asked to explain domestic violence pamphlet
.. etc some other questions
I will say it was not an easy interview...Be well prepared. Know DS-260 pretty well ...New delhi is one the tough emabasies so go well prepared and with all documents . They were sending people back for lack of some docs (this delays the process )
These were the extra docs my wife took in addition to the normal docs
-----> Take your Indian Docs (DOB related for beneficiary like 10 cert/adhaar card)
----> Petitioners Birth Certificate
-----> Relationship Proof (whatts app chats/email screenshots/viber logs)
-----> Photos of trips taken together along with Boarding Passes etc
More docs you take more comfortable you will feel
We got the visa packet the next day after interview so it was pretty fast once you are approved.
Good Luck for your process....
Rating : Good

POE Review: JFK
Event Description
Entry Date : 2014-12-06
Embassy Review : Very smooth Port Of Entry .....Basics questions about Petitioner and then Fingerprinting and then she was done . She was out in 1.5 hrs after flight landing...Immigration and Custom staff were very helpful
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
