The interview was in February. Our interview time was at7:30am, but we got there around 5:30 or6am to try and avoid lines. There were already people lining up in front of the building. They have you line up in order and based on your reason for being there. This was the longest wait. Once they open the doors you go through security, pull a ticket and take a seat until they call your number.
It was really quick once we were called and had the actual interview. At most it took 5 minutes for us, but there were some people that were there way longer. I took a bunch of evidence to show, but they didnt ask for any of it. The questions they asked were how long we knew each other, what happened with my previous marriage, where we worked, and how we met. They approved him then, but wanted him to bring in a copy of his sons birth certificate so he did and he officially got approved two weeks later

Had my husband's aos interview today. We were there early and there wasn't alot of peope waiting. You go through security right when you walk through the door. They have you take off your shoes and remove all jewelry, belts or whatever. Just like going through airport security basically. Then we waited in a room for a little while to be assigned a number then we were sent to another waiting room to be called. That probably took 30 minutes in total wait time. When we were called it was by a man. He wasn't smiling at all kinda serious, it made me so nervous. He asked us about how we met, what happened in my previous marriage. Where my previous husband was from, if i had applied for his immigration as well. He asked about my current husband questions about his son, what he used to work in, about his dreads, he didnt ask to see the vaccination record but he did want us to have proof of our relationship beyond pictures which was the only thing i brought. Since he doesn have a ssn yet i havent put anything in his name. That almost got us an rfe but he decided to look through my phone at our conversations in text and on facebook and i guess he liked what he saw. Next he took my hubbys fingerprint and picture and then he had him leave the room. He came back and told me what would happen next, gave some advice, and told me we were approved!!! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
