We were not ready to leave for the US before 2020, hence the huge time gap between 2014 and 2019. It has nothing to do with processing times.
Visa Received date: the Embassy let my wife redo the medical before Visa issuance to make sure it was valid longer (until March 3rd), hence it took a little longer to actually receive the Visa. |

Your I-130 was approved in 175 days from your NOA1 date.

Embassy Review : |
Everything went well, the interview was really a formality. They suggested we redo the medical (and we did), because the visa validity is counted from the exams' date and it was too long ago, there wouldn't have been enough time left to travel. We had to drop the passport and the new medical off later for stamping in the immigrant visa.
Other than that, it was a breeze. |

Embassy Review : |
Was a breeze. The officer was very friendly and didn't even take us to the secondary. In the visa package, he only looked at the medical. The whole thing took probably less than 10 minutes, while regular travelers were standing somewhat impatiently in the line behind us... |

Timeline Comments: 4Congratulations on getting your interview date! Did you apply for an expedite?
No, no expedite, the US Embassy restarted partial processing on July 15th and I guess that's how long it took them to get to our case.
https://hu.usembassy.gov/visas/
"As of July 15, the United States Embassy in Budapest is resuming certain immigrant and nonimmigrant visa services, including: IR-1/CR-1, IR-2/CR-2 immigrant categories, as well as F (student) and certain categories of J Exchange Visitor non-immigrant visas."
Good luck at your interview today! Let us know how everything goes! :)
Everything went well, the interview was really a formality, but we'll have to redo the medical, because the visa validity is counted from the exams date, and it was too long ago. Other than that, it was a breeze.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
