- our interview is under administrative review because my wife needs to get criminal records for all of her previous places of residence.

Embassy Review : My wife had her interview scheduled for the 28th may. We are filing for both her and my two sons. Anticipating a riot in the embassy if it was just her and them, I emailed the embassy and asked whether it's ok that my mother in law comes along. They said it was not necessary, but, since my children are less than 14 years old (the older one is 3), there is no need for them to come for the interview. She happily came by, and the first thing the interviewer asks is: where are your kids?

My wife (shocked) shows the man the email we got, and the interviewer just said that he needs to see the kids in order to process them... They scheduled an additional interview for next Friday (6th June), but this was just irritating! One hand doesn't know what the other's doing.

Next, he goes over my wife's documents and tells her that we'll need a criminal record from EVERY COUNTRY that she's ever resided in (so, in addition to Singapore, Israel and Australia). Now we must wait for another two-three weeks for the clean criminal records from both these countries. Again, this is not mentioned anywhere on the appointment letters. It would be a simple matter of explanation that would save both them and us time!
