Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: F-2A Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 6, 2014
Embassy Review : My visa is approved as per CO. Questions asked by IO & CO are as follows:

Indian Male Officer questions

Who is calling you?
Which is your birth place?
What is the address of the petitioner?
Have you visited any other country before?
Asked for medicals, Passport and DS260 confirmation
Handed over the originals to me

Waited for around 2 hours for my number to come though my token number was 3rd. There were many applicants whose language was not English. So the CO's were finishing their interviews first. After a long wait was called for the interview. There were two female officers. One was sitting and the other officer standing took my interview.

Consular Officer questions

Tell me something about your husband, marriage and your time together
Where did the wedding take place?
Was it arranged or love?
How many people came for the wedding?
Asked to show the marriage pictures
Where did you purchase the gown from?
Who is this female in the wedding photo?
How much time have you'll spend together?
How did your husband enter USA?
Where does he work and as what?
Where is his current residence?
With whom does he stay?
Where has he moved from? (My husband moved to another state due to change in his job last year)
Did you read the instructions about domestic violence?
What is given in the instructions? Kindly explain
Your visa is approved and you should pay $165 fee before you travel to the U.S

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
