Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description

Embassy Review : My husband had his interview scheduled for 7am on 09-03-2014, and i accomapined him along with our daughger we got to shuttle service at around 6am; parked the car and went inside the shuttle service place. We submitted our cell phones and went to the executive lounge to get our tickets for bus. They boarded us on the bus at around 7.. Finally the bus moved got to the embassy by 7:30 i believe. Went thru security check and all that good stuff (got in line n got token n all) well once in mu husband was called for his fingerprints which took half n hr as that place was packed. Once he got his fingerprints done we went inside to Another room where counselors were taking interviews. After sitting for maybe 10 mins they called my husband to submit medical and our urdu nikkah nama (me n our daughter accompanied him to the window) then she asked for my husband contact number and told us to wait again. We again waited for 15 mins and my husband was called to window 4. He went alone and counselor asked him:
1) whos calling you?
2) whats your wifes name?
3) was it a love or arrange marriage? (Since it was love)
4) how did you guys meet?
5) where your wife currently lives? (My husband told him with me and she even came here, he was kind of surprised and goes shes here with you? Can u call her? Then my husband waved at me and i went there) he asked me:
6) how often i visit my husband? ( so i told him i live with him ever since we got married jus went back to usa when i got pregnant)
7) (he asked my husband again) how you met again?
8) (the he asked me) how did you go to usa?
9) you have your wedding pictures? ( we showed him)
10) (oh he also asked my husband our daughters date of birth)

And then finally he goes, i will send in a request to approve your visa since our system i down you will get it in 2 weeks.. And he handed my husband his rites and originals back. Send in request was kind of confusing so i asked him you are approving his visa? He smiled and said yes his visa is approved you should get it in 2 weeks ( insha'Allah) we were to happy thanked him and left.

So if your spouse does accompany you to your interview, its makes it easier and helps a lot it would suggest if you can accompany your spouses to interview it will support and help them

Overall a good experience good luck everyone n hope this could help
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
