Event Description

Embassy Review : Interview was scheduled for 02/11 @ 8.15am. We arrived at DHS at about 7.50am and made our way through security. After filling up the form from the reception, we waited and were called in at about 8.20am. The officer was polite and professional, greeted us and led us to her office. Once inside, she took our oaths and then asked if we had any questions for her before she began looking through our files and asking us her questions. We told her we had none and she proceeded with verifying the answers on my I-485. Once that was done, she moved on to the I-130 and asked my husband the questions there. After all the information were verified, she asked us if we had anything else we'd like to show and/or submit to her. We gave her copies of our bank statements, credit card statements but only the page that had our names listed, our phone bills and she flipped through my checkbook with past bills I've paid. She also took a look at our photo album and made nice comments about our wedding theme and pictures.
Aside from that the experience we had with her was quite relaxing. We chit-chatted about the weather and about our travels to Europe. She made us feel comfortable and explained things rather well. It was all quite good. She apologized and said she would have approved everything except for the fact that she was locked-out of her computer and she needed to run a quick background check before approving anything.
Although she did not give approval on-site, I did check the USCIS website a few hours later and the status was changed to Card production. That made me extremely happy!
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
