No interview required
Green card was mailed on 11-30-18 according to USCIS, but I did not receive until 2-9-19!
Submitted an I-90 for replacement after the 60 days, so then had to mail a withdrawal request. |

Pretty easy all in - arrived 30 mins before it opened and was through to the front of the queue about 45 mins later. Went in and was assigned my number as the eleventh "I" number for the day. I waited for about 45 mins again before I was called to a preliminary desk where I simply had to hand over some of the paperwork I was asked to bring, and show proof I had paid the courier fee etc. I then sat down for another 45 mins and was called to a window where a guy asked me questions about my application to verify the information there. He also wanted to see both of our divorce certificates from previous marriageand struggled to find them in the application pack. As I found them in my copy of the pack, he also found them in his, so definitely worth taking a copy of your pack just in case! After about 10 minutes, he said that my application was approved and I was free to go! |

Very easy! I was seen at the desk and not taken through to secondary. Had a few basic questions to back up what was in the envelope and I was sent on my way with the stamp in my passport telling me when I had to get married by! |

Biometrics appointment at the East Hartford office:
Arrived very early as we'd had a lot of snow, so decided to kill a bit of time at the Dunkin around the corner. Turns out the appointment time they give you is just a guide and I waited for an hour and a half after going in - so if you're there early, just go in! Nothing to the actual appointment, literally took fingerprints, got my signature and photo and that was it. Don't ask the staff for any information or assistance, they will only deal with what their job is and be pretty blunt about it. No phones, etc allowed in at all so take a book! Got into a minor argument with the receptionist about my application numbers that could well have been avoided had she not been so blunt and unhelpful about it - when she finally explained it was fine and clear. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
