Consulate Review: Ukraine
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 18, 2019
Embassy Review : This is coming from my conversation with my fiance.
She said she arrived at 07.00 for the 08.00 interview. Stored her belongings in the lockers across the street.
Gave all documents need at the window. They took the originals of birth certificate, and divorce papers. They returned originals after interview.
She said she was the last of 4 in line for the K1. She said that she believed her and another was approved and 2 denied.
She said 2 denied she could see significant age differences.
But she also said that the CO said she was glad that at least a couple that day could prove relationships.
She said she waited 3 hours since she was last in called in but interview was like others stated here , 4.minutes. she said that others averages 30-35 minutes each. She was asked, how we met, when i visited, what i do for work. And she asked where the last picture we gave them was from. It was us at Anzio Beach. Of course she told them the date and the time of the picture. Dhe said the CO smiled and said congratulations and gave her a confirmation and said passport would be to her in less than a week.
Rating : Very Good

I'm terrified by your story, my fiance is 25 years younger, although you would never know it because she looks and acts much younger and I look much younger. We are in tears every day missing each other and our process has only just begun. So afraid of our age difference being a judgment against us. I'm so happy for you that things went so fast, especially through Kiev, it gives me hope
DonnieOlena on 2019-09-19 said:
You will be fine. Kyiv was cool for her. It is great now that she is here . Keep your head up it will be fine

Thank you for replying. Any secret to things going so quickly for you? Or where you just lucky?
DonnieOlena on 2019-09-26 said:
Ryan we just got lucky that it was at a time that everyone that applied in the first quarter of the year run through quickly. We expected at least november based on past timelines. Hang in there it will happen soon

Ryan, maybe by now you have your approval. I am 18 years older than my fiancee and had no problem with the interview. He was really casual and nice. My view is that once you are called for interview you are 99% approved.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
