+ Filed N-400 application online.
+ Successful walk-in for biometrics.
+ Estimated case completion is Aug 2018. Changed to Dec 2018.
+ Original interview date was May 21, 2018 but I had to travel for work. I mailed the necessary documents explaining why I couldn't attend. Called USCIS to prompt them to re-schedule my interview. Received the date within a few days of the phone call.
+ Successful interview on July 13, 2018. My interview was scheduled at 12:20 PM. I got there at 12:10 and my interviewer was already outside speaking with a couple about something else. After he finished with them, he invited me to his office right away. I was sworn in to tell the truth during the interview. The immigration officer then went on to confirm my personal information. He then proceeded with a one oral and written English test and since I got the first six civic questions correctly, he stopped there. I was at the USCIS office for a total of 17 minutes from start to finish. Very happy that this process is almost over.
+ Took oath on Oct. 19th. Waited in line for an hour and a half to get checked in. The ceremony itself took less than thirty minutes.
+ Updated SSA right after ceremony.
+ Applied for passport, registered to vote, and voted on Monday, Oct. 22nd. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
