Event Description
Review Date : August 10, 2017
Embassy Review : So my interview was scheduled for 6:30am got to the consulate around 6am, we were screened in by 6:15 and got into the consulate at 6:30 on the dot. There we had another screening before we were told to go to another table where numbers were written on our p4 letters a contact slip was also given to us to fill.

We went through the final screen into the main building across the road. Those for immigrant interviews were seperated from non immigrant. Documents were checked and some from the nvc were returned. We also had our fingers scaned and were told our number will be called by the C.O. I was the 3rd person to be interview interview wasn't upto 2mins.

The questions asked were who is calling ?
When did she get to the us?
Who petitioned her?
How many siblings do I have?
Have i lived in any other state apart from lagos?
Am i married?
Do i have kids?

She was already telling me where to pick up my visa before she remembered and said the magic words "your visa is approved" truly the next day received a mail it was ready for pickup. Was done b4 8am on that glorious day.
Rating : Very Good

How were you able to change your processing center to Nebraska?
blank avatar Chokey on 2021-01-22 said:
I didn’t. Uscis did.

Okay, noticed the Nebraska processing center is faster than the California, I have almost the same NOA1 date with you. I hope we get approved soon

No I haven’t. Case is still with NVC waiting on interview date. How about you ?
blank avatar Chokey on 2021-11-08 said:
Still at NVC too. When did you dq?
blank avatar James Blunt on 2021-11-08 said:
May 28th. I’ve had two 90 days notice email. Seems it’s not moving at all

Bro, it’s been like 2 years now and still waiting for interview date. DQ’ed since 2021 May. I have tried to expedite a couple of times but refused. I got notified that you updated your status about citizenship, I also filed for citizenship in December. Will we be able to switch our categories and get to the front of the line or will we have to line up over again for IR1 after switching ?
blank avatar Chokey on 2023-02-28 said:
Yo, I did the same thing also. When you become a citizen you should jump to the front of the queue depending on when your priority date is.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
