Comments : Well, would you believe that USCIS made a mistake???? The wife received the card with the wrong A Number. It had the daughter's number. And this requires another I-765 be sent, along with the card and any proof that it was their mistake. Well, that was easy to prove as we had the I-765C for the biometric appointment and it had the right number on it. So, should not have to pay a fee again, but it means a delay in getting a correct card. The Social Security office could not issue a SSN because of the mix-up.

Consulate Review: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Review Topic: K3 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 12, 2006
Embassy Review : Interview went well, but wife did not have original birth certificate which they wanted. They kept passport and she prepaid for delivery via TNT(Europe's version of FedEx). After submitting the birth certificate, passport with visa and entry package were mailed and received. Consular officer indicated that if she had had the BC, she could have returned in two days to pick up everything. That would have meant hanging around Rio, which holds no attraction for her and also missing more days of work.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
