filled out all the K-1 Visa forms myself, spent a total of over two months during three different trips overseas with my fiancee to make sure we were going to have good marriage together (mostly to see if she could put up with me ;-) My regrets: did not take enough pictures of us together (only had 4-5) and i did not keep all my receipts for boarding passes, hotels but ATM withdrawals probably did the trick, the Ukraine is a cash only country. |

RFE for an "unaltered marriage license" which was due to the marriage license being folded and had a crease along the line containing the ceremony date which made it appear that the date may have been altered. Sent in signed letter from Judge (not notarized) at the courthouse which he included supporting document (was just the scheduling information in his court files) along with as much supporting data I had (pictures, new certified copy of Original marriage exact duplicate of what I originally sent and anything else I could find since we had only one shot at being approved or a deportation order issued! - then I would have hired an immigration lawyer....update everything went smoothly, still doing all this paperwork on my own - no lawyer necessary)

Mid-May-15: Reapplied for free extension based on pending I-485. It was highly recommended by guard at Biometrics Appt center that I go ahead and get the AP free extension even though we had received the 2yr green card. Especially since we would be traveling again out of country - he stated it is better to be approved to travel than just rely on returning to USA on green card only |

15-Sept received email that new green card was mailed on the 14th.
13-Sept received email that our case was approved, confirmation letter is on its way and to follow letter's instructions.
06-Aug update: Received our 18-month extension today - from our 09 May 2018 transfer to Nebraska Service Center, Original CSC filing of I-175 21-Feb .2017. 09-May-2018 my case was transferred to the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) with note my case will be worked within 60 days (on July 20th still no decision or RFE). Based on VJ process time of members, for NSC it looks like I still have 1-2 months of waiting. Did notice that case not transferred did get processed before our case. |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
