Consulate Review: Mumbai, India Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Event Description Review Date : January 28, 2014 Embassy Review : Overall a good experience His interview lasted about 30 minutes but he was at the consulate for 3hours. I was afraid that because we didn't send any evidence of our marriage (marriage certificate only) with the I-130 or during the NVC stage, that he would not be given the opportunity to show evidence or that the decision about our case would have been made before the interview, but thankfully that was not the case. Questions he was asked: Who is calling you? How did you guys meet? When did you guys meet? When did you propose? When did you decide to get married? Where were you when you met your wife? Then was asked to show wedding pictures and name the people in the pictures Where does your wife live? What does she do for a living? Is this your first marriage? Your wife's? (This is my second marriage) Why did she get divorced? When did she get divorced? What is her ex husband's name? Is this the first time you apply for a US visa? How about visa to another country? (He applied for a Mexican visa once to go meet my family) When did your wife move to the US? Why did she move there? Then he heard that everything was ok and his visa was approved Rating : Good
