Consulate Review: Haiti
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 30, 2014
Embassy Review : My husband had his interview today at 7:00 A.M. There are free lockers available but he didn't get one. Time for the interview.
Co: How did you meet your wife?
Hubby: In school (She's my high school sweetheart)
Co: How many times has she visited you?
Hubby: Over 7 times
Co: No previous marriages, no kids for both of you, right?
Hubby: Yes ma'am, that's right
Co: You had a black and white wedding, the pictures are beautiful. Hubby: Thank you
Co: (Looking at the evidence papers) She gave you a dog tag, show it to me
Hubby: (He always wears them) He put the tags against the glass window
Co: What does she do for a living?
Hubby: (He gave the right answer)
Co: Have a safe trip sir, go pick up your passport on the 8th of July at Haiti messenger and take this pamphlet also. (She also gave him all the paperwork that I sent in support of the relationship and an old I-864 package that I withdrew during the NVC phase) Goodbye sir
Hubby: Thank you, goodbye
By 9:20 he was out and he gave me the good news.
He said there's no privacy, when the Co is speaking
everybody can hear, hubby said it didn't bother him. To God be the glory, everything went smoothly

POE Review: Miami
Event Description
Entry Date : 2014-07-23
Embassy Review : According to my husband the whole POE (a Thursday) ordeal went like this: He landed in Miami at 4:05pm, he made his way to the line. He waited at least an hour in line even though the line was moving. He doesn't speak English but he understands quite well. They took him to a back room where he waited for about 45 mns since there were a few people in the room when he got there. By 6:10 PM he was done. I prepared him mentally for a long wait but he was lucky I guess. Overall he said his experience was a good one.
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
