12-12-13 Interview rescheduled due to us being late didn't prepare for the unexpected.
01-21-14 he arrived early to the consulate, 9a (yea!)
Went thru the gate, they checked his passport and infirmary ion letter. He then went to the front desk, He said the lady at the front desk got his appt. letter, took the docs, and photos.
He got a number and then waited. He said the process was moving at a good speed.
Once with the interviewer he was asked the following questions:
How we met?
When we started dating?
Has he ever been married?
Have I been married?
How many children do I have?
How many of the children live with me?
How many times have I been to visit him?
How often does he speak with me?
When was the last time I came to JA?
Have you ever been arrested?
He looked at the pics.
Asked how he proposed?
How he got the ring?
He told him we needed to bring in two documents (w2 & a letter)
Asked him if he had set up the acct with DHL?
Told him to email the w2 and call the embassy to find out what to do with the other doc
He said the interviewer was nice and the conversation was light.
He left with the feeling that he was basically approved based on sending in the docs requested.
01-22-2014 w2 was emailed
01-24-2014 called embassy and was told how to send doc via DHL
01-28-2014 received a call from a lady at the embassy saying he needed to come in for an interview on 02-18-2014, he asked why and told her what the interviewer said. She said that normal procedure is to bring the document into Kingston in person, but she would speak to the interviewer. She said if she didn't call back then be at the interview on 02-18-2014.
01-31-2014 status on ceac was updated but said administrative processing
02-02-2014 the status was updated to ready (I hope this means she just forgot to call)
02-07-2014 emailed embassy to see what time interview was scheduled for and to see what he needed to bring since that had everything including his apassport
02-10-2014 received email from embassy stating that he did not have to come in for an interview and that the visa was being processed to conclusion. email will be sent when visa is issued! SUPER EXCITED
02-20-2014 status updated to Admin Processing
02-21-2014 someone was in the file, no change
02-24-2014 status went back to ready
03-14-2014 status updated to Admin Processing
03-07-2014 In the morning status went back to ready, In the evening status went back to Admin Processing.... Don't know what to say???
---- I'm planning to be there on the 10th can they please send the Visa so we can fly back together
:(
03-10-2014 Visa Issued!!!!!!!!!
03-13-2014 Visa finally received at DHL, we picked it up 5 minutes before going to the airport! All Smiles :) :D ;D

I thought there was separate approvals for employment and advanced parole. I was pleasantly surprised to get a combo card!!! Both approved, Jamaica bound! |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
