My consulate visit was very relaxed. I had my appointment at 9am and could go straight in while people applying for other kinds of visas had to wait in line for a long time. I went through security and was welcomed inside the consulate by a friendly guy who told me I should go to a window where they only had me fill out the DHL label and gave me some information about what is going to happen during my visa interview. Then I had to sit down in the waiting area and when my number was called, a friendly lady checked if all my information is still corrrect that I had provided on the forms that I sent in. When this was done, I had to sit down again and waited for my final interview. The interview itself was all in English, everyone else talked in German before. Right when I got to the window for the interview they told me ''Everything looks very good so the interview should go pretty quick''. And indeed, it was over very quickly. I was asked how my fiance and I have met, what he is doing for a living and where we will live. Then I finally got the great news: ''Congratulations!! Your visa will be issued''. Woohooo!! |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
