Embassy Review : |
We reached the embassy around 11:30am. Almost an hour prior to interview time (12:30pm). We cleared security immediately and were instructed to proceed to counter 25. We were given token and asked to wait to be called. After almost half hour, we were called and asked to submit medical report,ds-260 confirmation page stamped by ofc, copies of my wife's marriage and birth certificate with translation and affadavit of support, 2 photographs and her passport.
At the submission counter, we were asked the following questions -
-my wife's dob
-date of marriage
-wife's current address
-address to be in US
He gave us a phamplet on domestic violence and asked my wife to read through it until she is called by CO for interview.
We waited almost an hour until called by american CO.
We both went to the interview window 22 and the CO confirmed my relation to mg wife and then wait separetly while he interview my wife with the following questions after having her take an oath -
-asked to give a brief idea of domestic violence pamphlet
-how did you guys meet?
-my wife suggested she had photos of our first meet
-he then asked to show them
-what city does your husband live
-what does he do for living
-when did he last visit India
-when he came to India for wedding, how long did he stay (I had not visited her since wedding due to death in family)
-what was her last job
-where did she graduate from, which subject, which year
Then he asked her to call me over and he interviewed me in her presence.
I was asked the same set of questions he asked my wife with the addition of following questions -
-how long have you been working at your job
-how did you immigrate to US
Our answers matched and he did not ask further and then gave us a yellow paper and said congratulations your visa is approved and to allow 3-5 working days to pick up her passport from her selected pickup location from ustraveldocs.com. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
