I will never forget this day. The experience was great and so was the American lady who interviewed me. It also helped that I was super organized with my files. I read different blogs on the papers that I need to put together to avoid rummaging through my envelope. My interview with the Filipino consul took less than 3 minutes. She asked me a few questions like my bf's age, when and where did we meet and if he lives alone in his house. When she asked for the financial documents plus NBI clearance, Cenomar and BC, I immediately handed them to her. I put them all in one section. Now for the American Consul... I really enjoyed my interview. I wasn't nervous at all. The questions she asked me were:
-How old is your bf?
-Where did you meet?
-How many times has he visited you?
-What are your wedding plans?
-What does your bf do for a living?
-What are his hobbies?
The consul and I even talked about The Big Bang Theory. I mentioned that my bf and I love that show and she said she watches it too. Interview was super easy and I had a blast. She then asked for photographs and I handed the scrapbook to her. She looked at the pics briefly and said "Ok, I think I have everything I need and YOUR VISA IS APPROVED". I said "Really???? Yay!!!!" Ok, I jumped a little bit haha!
Wasn't given any 221g but all 7 of those in front of me needed to go back for additional requirements. My interview went smoothly. No issues at all. I received my visa exactly a week after my interview. |

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
