Llegue a Washington Dulles a las 9pm. La fila para pasar por inmigracion de los ciudadanos americanos (mi novio viajo conmigo y pude hacer esa fila) no estaba larga. Por fortuna no me toco ir a ninguna habitacion donde me hicieron preguntas. El oficial fue muy amable. Abrio el sobre sellado por la embajada, tomo mis huellas y listo. Se demoro aproximadamente 5 minutos.

I arrived at 9pm in Washington Dulles. The American Citizens line was not long (I got in that line because I traveled with my fiance) Luckily I didn't have to go to any 'room'and wait for other immigration officers. The only officer asked me some questions, took my finger prints, a photo, opened the sealed envelope sent by the embassy, and that was it. He took like 5 mins to register all my data. |

Mi cita en la embajada era a las 10:30am. Llegué y pregunté por la FILA 3: esa está pegada a la entrada de la embajada. Me preguntaron mi nombre, el de mi novio; me buscaron en la lista, me dieron el famoso papel que dice cómo se tienen que organizar los documentos (los míos estaban previamente organizados); me acerqué nuevamente a la promotora; me dieron mi sticker verde con una "K" y me dejaron pasar. Me hicieron el control de seguridad; busqué la carpa azul como me dijeron e hice la fila en la que habían conmigo 5 personas y esperé hasta llegar a la ventanilla #4 donde había una colombiana AMARGADA atendiendo (de las 5 personas en fila, 4 fuimos víctimas de la amargura de la señora) que, además de todo, enredó todos mis papeles y me estaba regañando porque "los documentos no están completos". Ella no daba para encontrar mis dos fotos que le había dicho que estaban dentro del pasaporte previamente, en fin... La señora me hizo firmar dos formularios (si mal no recuerdo), preguntó el nombre de mi novio, las veces que él ha venido a Colombia, mi correo electrónico, mi teléfono fijo y celular, el celular de mi novio, la ciudad en la que vive, si es divorciado y ya. A esperar el segundo llamado por micrófono.
Una vez escuché mi nombre, fui a la ventanilla #2; esta vez sí fue con una estadounidense de lo más dulce que confirmó unos datos; pidió que jurara que lo que estaba escrito era cierto; tomó mis huellas y listo. "Su vista está aprobada".
Me explicó lo del envío por DHL y el popular papel de la violencia domestica.
Salí de la embajada a las 12:15m. Pasé una hora y media aproximadamente en la embajada. Ese día hizo sol así que no hubo problemas de frío ni nada. |
