Event Description
Review Date : October 31, 2014
Embassy Review : We had on our interview on Oct. 29th. Our appointment time was 2:15 p.m. It's pretty easy to get to the Immigration Office and there is ample on street parking. You will need to be prepared to pay for parking. There is a lot of construction going on around the Immigration Office but that didn't hinder our ability to find a parking spot close by.

We checked in at 2 p.m. and then proceed to the waiting room on floor 2. We were called back at 2:45 p.m. The interview was very easy and painless. I am an extremely detailed person so our folder that the IO had with our visa journey from K1- AOS was filled with proof of our 5 year dating relationship and our 7 month marriage. He had reviewed it in detail before we arrived which I believe is why the process was so quick and easy. Like others have said in their review, I felt as if we were approved before we sat down. I did however bring a large folder containing all the documentation listed on our appointment letter. The only items we showed were proof of co-mingling (which we had a lot of) and our wedding photos. That was it. The entire process was very easy and dare I say pleasant....

We then spent about 10 minutes after we were informed we were approved chatting to the IO about his family and their plans for Halloween. There was also some chatter about life in the UK as our IO is originally from the UK as is my husband. The IO is a very nice man and made us feel comfortable from the moment we sat down. We departed at 3:30 p.m.

As I mentioned we were approved on the spot and on that same day our status changed in the system to card production. Now onto preparing for ROC.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
