Embassy Review : Went for my K1 interview Oct 22, 2013

Embassy officer who interviewed me in the afternoon was a very friendly woman.
Swore me in before getting me to sign my forms and went on to cancel my past tourist B2 visas (both my old expired one and the current 10 year visa) before she even started to interview me - my hopes were definitely up by then!

Asked me a few questions - how we met, when we starting dating, where my fiance works, what he does at work, his siblings, pulled a few pictures out to ask me who took them, where it was taken. Always smiling and started typing as soon as I started answering, felt like she had already made up her mind before she even started the interview - most likely based on the big amount of relationship evidence we submitted early on during the petition, that and 5 years worth of proof...javascript:emoticon('')

She told me to wait outside again to be told where to collect my passport and only AFTER that said "I'm going to approve your visa, congrats on your marriage!"

I totally stressed out more than I needed to, if your relationship is genuine and you've got all your documents in order, just try your best to stay calm

The entire process in the afternoon must have taken less than 10 minutes, had to wait about 1.5 hours before being called for it though. Waiting to submit documents and make payment in the morning took about 1.5 hours as well.

General tips:
1. Don't get to the embassy too early - just stick to the time on your appointment letter and get there maybe 10-15 minutes before - they won't let you in early just because you're already there!

2. Don't bother bringing any electronic devices to use while waiting-you have to surrender them all at security, bring a book/mag

2. I stayed in Corus Hotel which is a really convenient walk to KLCC and barely a 5 minute (less than RM5) ride to the embassy. For all you out-of-town people, don't worry about transport to and from the embassy - there are lots of taxis in the area and all the taxis I took used automatically used their taxi-meters (quite impressive considering what a 'tourist' area it is)
Rating : Good

Embassy Review : No questions asked at all! Officer just opened my document package, mentioned that he couldn't find my medical sheet, stamped and signed it anyway. Took my fingerprints and told me I was good to go! javascript:emoticon('')
Harassment Level : Low

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
