Embassy Review : |
I have a very positive experience with the Embassy in Budapest. Staff is professional, helpful and polite in person/via email/on the phone. I got an interview date super fast. I arrived to the Embassy 15 min earlier and spent exactly 1 hour inside, including my early arrival. First a lady went through all my papers and took them, then I had to wait some more. The interview was with the consulate who was a very kind man in my experience, it took about 3 minutes, i could not believe i was done so fast, I didn't even understand why I was so nervous before!! This is what he asked me (he took notes in the meantime):
- How did your relationship progress to where you are now? (or something like this) - I basically told him in big steps how our relationship started and the times we met in person.
- Was this your first time in the US when you visited him? (YES) Have you been back since? (NO)
- Has your fiancé visited you since? (YES)
- What does your fiancé work? Where?
- Has your fiancé been married before? (NO)
Then: "Your visa is approved. My colleauge will let you know about the next steps."
Me - floating out of the building surrounded by clouds of joy |

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
